Well done Hmmm...........All I knew Ash is Friday is one tough dude. I'd like to see some of Oz's top heavies in the ring with him to se how they fair as the man has a chin of granite on him.

Bigcat, Luis and Friday didn't do themselves any favours in NZ after the fight by saying they felt robbed, and that it would have gone down differently in Vegas. That being said, Tua just outworked him, punch count was probably 2 to 1, and the power shots were mostly Tua's. Friday hit him solidly, and he felt it several times, but just not enough volume. He definitely has the talent, chin, and guts. I thought the fight was much closer than the judges. 1 judge had Tua winning every round. I thought the first, second, 11th and 12th were close. The middle rounds were Tua's. He buckled Friday's legs in the 10th, but didn't follow up, and Friday recovered.

To be honest, does anyone feel that Tua didn't give 100% in this fight?
Almost as if he didnt want to ruin any potential match ups by looking to deadly? We all know how much the heavyweight division is a bunch of big girls these days

Did they really say they were robbed? It wasnt even close, never looked like being close and if they come on here saying otherwise then

Tua did win, and i am surprised at Luis stating that, but Tua was unimpressive and Friday should have moved his hands more... I think it was closer than the judges had it as it was hard to score..... But its all done, I have to state .... Tua was never in hell going to KO Friday, i know Friday for 12 years, he is never hurt by anyone.......

Just needed to do more work , its always the case.......... NZ is a lovely place..

Fridays movement sure stopped him being hurt from Tua. If he traded more im sure Tua would have landed more. If it was a battle of attrition Id take Tua to be the last man standing

Tua will have some major issues if hes faces any of the Klitschkos with the same plan. He just did enough to get by which kind of reminded me of Lewis fight where he didn't followup when he should of.

Bigcat, I saw the fight again last nite. Friday's legs buckled from a slip, not a punch. I was wrong. Bigcat, the fight was easy to score. Tua landed twice the amount of punches as Friday. If Friday's never hurt, why doesn't he let his hands go and back his chin? Guess that's the question Luis needs to ask him.

Friday was put on the shelf when he was with Don King Productions, he beat several of Dons Top unbeaten guys and it pissed Don Off.. (Nate Jones... Josue Blocus, Derrell Dixon..) Friday was unable to make cash in fights for his own career, so he like Oliver McCall and many others had to earn a living for years sparring Mike Tyson, Lennox, Klitschko, Liakhovich, Sam Peter etc.. etc... He got so used to just playing at survival he picked up those traits and its been so hard to get him to throw combinations for full fights like he used to.. Its some mental issues that stem from his long time sparring , being a little switched off etc... I dunno, against Cameron and Butler we seemed to get him outa his shell, coaching personally through the full 12 against Alonzo won him that one.. Friday cant even explain it himself.. he once even stopped sparring with Chagaev after a round saying he felt like he was treading water.. he went away for 5 minutes and stomped around hitting the bags.. when he emerged to continue the session he knocked Chagaev over and had him out to the point the sparring was halted.. (2003) its an enigma... God Bless..

Interesting. My wife and I were at ringside, and my wife said it was just like a sparring match. And it was. Tua got to practice his right hand, shots to the body, and his conditioning. And Friday obliged, keeping him honest at times with some good shots.

Friday is a little like Cisse Salif, except better. You'd think if he were beating Don King's top unbeaten guys, King would back Friday instead of ignore him.

Have you had a chance to talk to Friday yet, Bigcat? If so, what does he think about Tua's chances against an Arreola or Klit?

Too bad about his mental state. Luis must not be able to change his bad mental habits. Friday's one of my favourite fighters.

Yes so would I........ But King wanted imo to use fridays name as a springboard to propell his other names, and he eventually did when Sergei beat friday handing him his first loss on the Rahman v Lewis 2 undercard... We had to get out of that contract fast.... Friday has had so many trainers/ managers / promoters in 12 years its unreal..

He has had quite an oddessey as a pro , If you heard his full story you would not actually beleive it .. he has accomplished a lot .. i happen to be very proud of him..

God Bless.... Steve J
