I am surprised Russia sent Timurziev. He hasn't seemed the same since 2005. He gassed in the Russian National championship and in the World Cup in Baku. I know in both fights he was winning until he ran out of steam, but it seems as if his stamina has taken a hit since 2005. If not for his stamina he would be the most dominant super heavy since Povetkin.

First results are in. Bad news for the Finns, their team is already 50% decimated Jussi Koivula lost against some Mongolian guy 2-22 or something. Rustam Rachimow (2nd 2005, lost to Rigondeaux) won his bout and has to fight Kazakh Mirzhan Rakhimzhanov next. Maybe of interest for our Abanian nuthugger Artani, 69kg Jetmir Kuci has to fight Jack Culcy-Keth. Nelson Hysa has to fight Roberto Cammarelle, seems like an early goodbye too.
