Default Cayo and El-chino were putting some serious hurt on each other

i just rewatched the fight and it has to be the contender for FOTY, cayo stuck in there and was throwing bombs, i'm impressed by both guys, i'm a big maidana fan but i have to say Cayo was out hussling him much of the time, i hope cayo comes backs strong as he has the qualities of being a good champion, as for maidana i still truely believe he can put 140 devision on lockdown i'm looking foward to the bradley fight and i believe maidana will suprise allot of ppl and take out bradley late (with bradley ahead on the score cards), Maidana's a hard hitter and has a very good beard and he carries allot of power if he applies the right pressure and bradley gets careless theres a very good possibility he catches bradley and puts him on his ass. Maidana is the hardest hitter at 140 i'll go as far as saying he has bigger 1 punch KO power then a prime Ricardo Torres.

Can't believe it's so ****ing overlooked, what a great fight!

Well, it seems Showtime and Super Six absolutely kicked HBO's ass this time, but it was still a FOTY candidate. I disagree of Cayo outhussling Maidana, he found success here and there and I'd say he won 2 rounds, but Chino put on a beating and you had to have the feeling sooner or later Maidana will break Victor down and land something really hard - which happened in the end. In the last 2 rounds Cayo was hurt by every single body shot, and damn, I picked him to win!

Shows you how damn tough Maidana is. Victor Ortiz was supposed to be the next Golden Boy, and Roy Jones wannabe Victor Cayo had the tools to frustrate Chino but both Victors are now victories on the tougher man's record.

Say whatever you want of Bradley, Khan and Alexander outboxing Maidana, it just takes one punch and the whole fight is changed, that hard Chino hits.

when i saw that clip of cayo i thought maidana was in for a tough night and the first 2 rounds cayo had things going his way till maidana started closing the gap.
i agree ppl talk about outboxing maidana from a distance but the game plan goes out of the window once maidana closes the distance Maidanas a tough matchup for anybody at 140, i think he has the tool to beat both bradley and alexander(alexander cant find on the inside). Khans chin is bonified china and his power isnt good enough to earn Maidanas respect so that fights a garanteed win for him

I had only seen 1 or 2 youtube clips of Cayo and didn't expect him to fight like that AT ALL. Lost some money there. I though Cayo would potshot all night and try to be an awkward mother****er all night. He did a little bit but not much.

Cayo was fighting very well. He box well in the first few rounds and even exchanging power shots. At some moment he gain to much confidence and that hurt him little by little. If he could have stay consistent like he was doing in the first two rounds, this fight would have lasted longer. I guess the same happen to Victor Ortiz, Maidana is so easy to hit, they tend to get to over confident. Cayo def. has a new fan, I would be watching more of his fights. Hopefully he corrects some things.
