On the last K-1 event Rising in Madrid it seems only Hari and CroCop got paid as they were the only fighters who agreed getting paid in advance, the rest of the guys still haven't been paid. Glory now has all the top talent, with the exception of Badr and Cro-cop for now... but yeah K-1 is done.

Here's the latest K-1 Rising event, that's right the one we all thought would be cancelled.

It was OK but K-1's definately lost something, it'll never be the same again.................

Wtf ... K-1 has just restarted ... and actually with a strategy to find some new American talent. I think this event was a success, people were pretty excited about it. Madrid was a pretty great event as well, so I'm really looking forward to the next event what will be the Final 16. Should be great and a K-1 Final in the Big Apple would be awesome!

I'm with you and I'm sure Yaca is to. We'd love the new version of K-1 to get back to the glory days of the last two decades, but Glory really do have most of the top names fighting under their banner these days and the Madrid event was enjoyable, but not as good IMO as the Glory event put on the same weekend.

The States has never particularly been a hotbed of MT or quality Kickboxing, but maybe this is where the new version of K-1 will capture the imagination of a few guys over there and some stars will be born, maybe Ky Hollenback can shake things up a bit who knows...but he's fighting under the Glory banner.

It's got to be a long term view for K-1 as they can't really compete with Glory at the Moment and good luck to them I'd love to see K-1 not only rise but soar!

Glory is have a final 16 and a final 8 together to save money. Which means 16 fighters will start and 1 will emerge as champion. That's called rape.

There are still and have been many rumours swirling around the new K-1 set up, but we all support it and wish it well, as you say time will tell.

Its still early days for Glory in their new role as "K-1" promotional stlyled kings, they are trying to keep the ball rolling in hard times and I'm glad they are. Rape? I'm not so sure.... a tough night's work, sure. "Rape" to me is a little bit more like accepting a tough fight, training extra hard for it cos the stage is so big and u wanna impress, tuning up in top condition and fighting on fight night & then guess what, not getting paid. That's "rape".

So what do you think? First impression is dissapointed because of lack of big names, but after that sinks away I actually this card will be pretty great. It's up to the new guys now in a quite balanced field!

To be honest I'm not familiar with all the guys in the line up as I'm not a fan of the big boyz in either MT or Kickboxing, the biggest guys I tend to watch are Max size. To me it's all about 70 and below.

However, I can't help noticing K-1's biggest retained signature from the old days isn't there.......where's Badr????? Has his problems with the law pushed him off the card? He mentioned he was putting off his boxing career to do this GP?!

The rather bloated CroCop and the rather flabby Hari were the main attractions on the Madrid Rising show. I hope Cro Cop actually prepares for this one and doesn't reinforce my reasons for not following the big boyz!

But as you say a new international group of fresh fighters trying to prove thmselves on a big stage should make for a card of action and good fights. Let's hope it happens & and good luck to em.

Yes, both are good, but I like Lasnencko better. I think he has more talent. You know what Gerges brings, hard and steady strikes. Lascenko has more variety. He'll have to watch and block Gerges his lowkicks though, because Gerges can decide this fight with his lows as Lascenko has pretty weak legs.
