I have Hearns at #39; But I would say Hill and Andries (in particular) would become better fighters for be being schooled by the Motor City Cobra.

I try to list 20 names. It seems like you could make a very good case for anyone in the top 6 being #1 at light heavyweight. This is intersting as it is not the case at middle, heavy, welter, ect...

Here would be my top 20 since 1903 of fighters who could have fought at 175:

1. Tunney
2. Langford
3. Fitzsimmons
4. Chalres
5. Spinks
6. Moore
7. Foster
8. Greb
9. R Jones
10. Loughran
11. R. Jones
12. H. Johnson
13. T. Gibbons
14. Conn
15. Philly Jack O'Brien
16. Rosenbloom
17. Bivins
18. John Henry Lewis
19. J. Dillion
20. Michalczewski

Michalczewski! Over Delaney,Berlenbach,Slattery,Maxim,Fox.

Roy is doing well ,I see he gets two votes. OBrien was kod twice by a middleweight ,fought several fixed fights ,had no power, and ran like a thief, yet he is above Dillon? And you talk about objectivity!

Perhaps the equal of a Jack Dillon.

..I'm assuming that those who don't have Ezzard Charles on their lists is because the are considering him as a heavyweight. Fair enough. I'm assuming that the one who rated him ninth had defieciency of oxygen to his brain when he was born.

McVey,

You are truly a wonder. After all O'Brien as a light heavyweight got the better of your #2 all time heavyweight! And if that isn't enough, he defeated Choynski, who KO'd your #2 all time heavyweight. O'brein fought many top fighters. He defeated Blackburn, Ko'd Kaufman ( something Johnson could not do ), beat Morris Hall, Young Peter Jackson, Tommy Burns, and older but still dangerous Fitzsimmons, Joe Walcott,Black Bill, Peter Maher and a few others. I think he has quite a resume, don't you?

As for Dillon, I never saw him on film, and in my opinion his resume isn't as good as O'Brien's, which is why I have him just a few slots lower.

Michalczewski was an un-defeated 48-0 lineal champion who made 20+ title defenses in a row. He was very tough, could punch and would not be an easy out for any man on the list.

Stop and think before you " try " to call me out. You're only going to step on a rake. Having said that here's your chance to be objective, and give O'Brien some due.....considering he did as well or better than heavyweight Jack Johnson head to head and vs many of the same opponents, it makes sense. Here's your chance to show the board you're objective.

As for listing Roy twice, take the first Roy Jones out, and revise the list to read as follows.

1. Tunney
2. Langford
3. Fitzsimmons
4. Chalres
5. Spinks
6. Moore
7. Foster
8. Greb
9. Loughran
10. R. Jones
11. H. Johnson
12. T. Gibbons
13. Conn
14. Philly Jack O'Brien
15. Choynski
16. Rosenbloom
17. Bivins
18. John Henry Lewis
19. J. Dillion
20 Michalczewski
