WBA Calls Purse Bid

The WBA has decide to call a purse bid for the match between
Anthony Mundine vs Gennady Golovkin and Daiki Kameda vs Takefumi Sakata. The bidding will take place next Thursday, April 29th, 2010 at 12:00 p.m., at Wynn Resort &Casino, 3131 S Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevada.

Interesting development.......

1. Who wins this fight?
2. Who is Golovkin managed by now?

The purse bid is in Vegas - does that mean the actual card will be? So it might possibly be on American TV???

Great TV card, that (Golovkin vs. Mundine and Kameda vs. Sakata).

Not sure mate but I think winner of purse bid gets to pick the location....if team Mundine win it wont be in the states.

I dont know who manages Golovlin but Mundine has lots of cash and will pay good money to make sure the fight is in AUST

Golovkin by kayo.
His manager is Dr. Maximilian Hermann in association with Eurasia Promotions Kazakhstan. He trains with Abel Sanchez at Big Bear.
If they win the purse bid its likely that the fight will take place in some Kazakh cave..

Is he a free of universum mate or will they turn up to the bid as well?

His manager claims he is free. Universum went to court to prevent Golovkin from fighting without them but they later withdraw the application. Not sure whether the last word is spoken in that case.. Universum could bid for the fight like any registred promoter could do, why not? But i doubt they will..

Lets hope the fight gets made 1 v 2 for the title sounds great....Golovkin looks set to win but how does he go with slick fighters?

He beat the likes of Dirrell, Bute, Korobov, Despaigne in the AM's, all of whom would rape Mundine, are bigger, have better movement, better everything actually.

I think the step up in class will be too much for Mundine and I will be surprised if he goes through with this fight.

This is how i see it.

Gardner caused him smaller problems but he was still far away from winning the fight and it was a decent move to take on Gardner in the 10th or 11th pro fight.. Golovkin has the speed and skills to land on everyone and also the power to hurt. Of course he is pretty much untested as a pro up to now but he is obviously willing to step up und build a name i just hope that Mundine is going to take the fight and if not that the WBA calls Golovkin vs N´dam or Gevor quickly. Also Golovkin is now with a way better trainer than Schaburow who trained him when he was with universum..

Him vs N'jikam would be a hell of a fight.

I just want to clarify that Hassan is ranked just behind N'dam Golovkin in the WBA rankings, the promoter of Hassan N'dam contacted the WBA to tell them that if that does not face Mundine Golovkin, Hassan will agree replace, or if boxing does not Golovkin because of his problems with universum too. I can also tell you that Hassan has gone very ready style of the two boxers, he is ready to confront one or the other.
