Default Sebastian Sylvester....how good is he

i just watched a few fights of his and he does some things well but other things he does kinda odd...

like when he fought strum, he would get inside easily enough but once there
he would push strum of and jab....

odd since when he do other things he had success inside when he worked there and even the push/jab was alright the first few times but he just kept doing it lol

anyways what are your thoughs on him?
how does he compare to rest of top 160 pounders

He is limited but good at what he does. Martinez, Pavlik, Williams would beat him for sure. Sturm already did. There are some good prospects who would have a good chance but are still a but unproven to confidently pick above him. Top5 mw these days. I like him, he always gives his best and has heart. Won´t be champ too long.

I'd have him as top 10 fighter but not a top 5 for 160

Not as popular as the Klitschkos, Abraham or Sturm but still quite popular.

I honestly think there are about 15 fighters in the division that would beat him. For a world champion he is very poor. I don't expect him to hold onto his title for much longer, plenty of up and comers would school him.

He found himself in a very lucky position inheriting the title of Abraham. He would have had a very hard time winning it from another champion and his promoters know it. Now they are trying to hold on to the title for as long as possible. With the top guys being busy anyway and the rest of the division being pretty poor, he could make a couple more title defenses.

He only has a title because the MW division is quite weak atm. He's nowhere near Pavlik, Martinez, Sturm's level.

P4P compared to other champions in other divisions he is amongst the worst.
Pirog, Macklin, Jacobs, Golovkin, Gevor, Geale, Martinez, Lee, Lemieux, N'Jikam, Sturm, Pavlik are just a few off the top of my head that would beat him imo.

A world champion should not be fighting the likes of Billy Lyell. He barely scraped by Lorenzo. If it wasn't in Germany he wouldn't be champ.

no he should not fight guys like lyell but then again that guy might better then anyone

then again it is reaching really far to say all these guys beat him fo sure espically unproven guys like lemieuz, lee etc

but yeah overall i agree he is one of the weakest champs in boxing
