Dwyer, the black 'gambling advisor', calls this straddling the bet. He advised a similar thing before the Kessler-Froch fight, encouraging viewers to bet both on a Kessler decision and a Froch ko/tko. He basically excluded a Froch decision victory.

Just because you happened to win, it doesn't mean it was a smart bet.

A smart bet was Jason Booth to stop Michael Hunter (4/1 with most bookies, 5/1 with others) or John Simpson to stop Truscott in the rematch, same odds, 20-30 per bet.

Not sticking a week's wage on an odds on outcome that didn't give particularly good value.
