Kelly Pavlik is slated to fight Jermain Taylor for the Middleweight
Championship of the world! September 29, 2007. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Youngstown's Vindicator has done a tremendous job of covering Kelly Pavlik. Let's write letters to the Canton, Akron, Pittsburgh and Cleveland Newspapers so that this great local story is covered every step of the way. Jermain Taylor is a rare and historic champion in that he beat a champion (Bernard Hopkins) that collected all 4 of the major world titles. Jermain Taylor has not been beaten since. Therefor he is considered the undisputed middleweight champion of the world and now Kelly Pavlik is scheduled to fight for his crown. Don't forget, July 13 is Kelly Pavlik Day at Jacob's Field in Cleveland Ohio. Kelly will throw out the first pitch! It's a friday game so there are fireworks afterwards and the display is always '4th of July' caliber. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] appreciates your patience concerning the online store. Final details are being worked out and we hope to launch a store that evolves to meet the requests of fans and friends of Kelly Pavlik. Thanks for your support! Team Pavlik ((((((((((((((((((((GO KELLY))))))))))))))))))))

Speaking from the Pittsburgh perspective, I can tell you that MANY are supporting and ROOTING for Kelly
.Taylor is the real Champ and this is the moment Pavlik's been waiting for. Gotta respect Taylor and hope that Pavlik can reverse the amateur loss. |

Nice to see this fight happen so quickly after Pavlik's win. I figure it's a no lose situation for fans. Jermain has a lot to prove as his stock has been falling as of late, and Pavlik's domination of Miranda makes him a dangerous guy.
I like Taylor, but I'm warming up to Pavlik. I wouldn't mind seeing the underdog pulling it off. Of course, maybe Taylor is now the underdog considering his recent performances! I can't wait for this one! |

Come on, now, woo. Taylor doesn't have any choice. He's run out of options. At least I hope he has. Thats all we were saying in the past. Be a man & fight your #1 contender, Jermain. Don't be like PBF & simple go after the most $$$ with the least risk. |
