"I don't know why the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) aren't having a look at him, is it because Amir has achieved so much and they don't want two brothers to do the same?"
Doesn't that quote sum up his underlying thoughts? Basically he thinks because Amir was great they should give his brother a pass. |

His Dads having a moan but it seems pretty clear that Harroon isn't good enough to represent the UK but is good enough for ****stan.
On that basis, whether or not Pops has lost a little objectivity where his son is concerned (and he won't be the first or the last Dad to do that), its a decent decision to fight for ****stan |

It would be funny if ****stan overlooked him...maybe that is why he mentioned turning pro so soon?

i hope he gets drawn against the GB representative coz he will get spanked, fair play to him finding a different route into the commonwealths, but he cant complain he's not getting a chance from GB, coz he's shit as a senior and there are plenty of 54kg lads that would beat him in england

You can't blame him in a way, most of us would probably do the same. He's just making the best of his options.
I suppose it's a bit like all those English football players who decided to play for Ireland as they'd never get a chance with England - many of their links were possibly even more tenuous too. Still, I don't think it wrong to say that there could be a non patriotic argument to it (especially as the Khan family have been seen flying the Union flag like nothing else-very much playing the UK patriotic issue). There is also an argument that he's going to be denying some kid who lives, was brought up in ****stan, the chance. |
