Cant blame him really. Good luck to him but as has been said before, he's just not good enough. I remember awhile back people were saying that he would be better than Amir but thats not case.

If i were Haroon i would have just gone pro. He has a fairly pro style anyhow, goes pretty well to the body.
Fact is though, he simply aint come on since the schoolboys, he was seriously useful back then, probably better than Amir at the same stage, but he aint taken it on like Amir did.
I cant see how boxing amateur for ****stan is going to do him any good, he will get beat and labelled a traitor, lose lose for me...

I'm surprised how someone like you would be happy with him representing the UK.

We never seem to have the same argument when, like today, 3 foreigners have led England to the first world cricket final in donkeys years.

I hope that you are not being serious....for years Yorkshire cricket flatly refused to pick home grown lads of asian origin, how are they supposed to integrate sports wise when the white elite at a county cricket club won't pick them, thats just blaming the victim

Perhaps he's not good enough. I dont recall hearing or reading anything that claimed nor proved he was as good as amir. Just coz he's Amir bro doesnt mean he gets an automatic pass. (although if Khan was still with ****** im sure all would have been sorted out and a few backhand payments would have seen him picked lol )

It's also facts of life though that people can say they feel it wrong, if they believe it to be so.

You go to represent your country in these events, are paid for by your country(the people in that country) to do so, so surely people bringing up the issue of national loyalty, is not unfair - this isn't the pros.

Still, we all know it happens all the time, but I don't think it wrong for people to question it - especially question someone who comes from a family who have overly used the British loyalty tag in the past, something that no doubt increased their popularity, dare I say it - wealth too - through claiming they were very British.

Personally, I don't feel strongly about this case, but in a wider sporting issue sense, I take exception to people in national events swapping sides at will (eg don't want to see Manuel Almunia in goal for England) - a lot of people care about national sports and this kind of stuff simply ever erodes its value and entertainment.

Couldn't care less who he fought for to be honest.

Few lads down at Repton are now boxing for Jamaica at Commonwealth Games.

It's not a big deal to me. Let Lad Box For Who He Likes.

At the end of the day, in the grand scheme of things it's certainly no big issue.

I was surprised to hear his dad so animated and angry though, it's not his right to demand a place.. though can understand why he would fight for his son.
