Default World Series of Boxing

I don't know how many on here follow the amateur game, but what do you make of this? I just came across the website while looking for something else.

It seems to be that the AIBA are setting up a new kind of World championships tournament, but based not on one event in one location but a series of "play offs" between countries. There is some kind of draft draw in London at the end of this month, but it doesn't go into specifics.

Can you see TV / the boxing public getting behind this?

Looking at the list it appears there aren't any British boxers in it, which makes a bit of a mockery of them hosting it in London.

Wasn' t this all being talked up a year or so back and franchises had been sold etcetc but then London decided not to buy a franchise and they whole thing unravelled anyway as they werent able to get the tv money which it was pretty reliant on
