Default Vidoz vs. Ustinov

Anybody see the fight? Was it at all entertaining? I was really hoping for Vidoz to pull an upset but he seems to show up for paychecks nowadays..

I disagree, Vidoz did try to win. He caught Ustinov with some good shots in the late rounds, but his workrate was too low. Overall the fight was mildly entertaining, Ustinov looked quite good actually, I doubt though that he'll make past euro-level.

Ustinov, if he trims down to 260, clould make it past Euro Level. He's too heavy at 290+.

Of course he will never be champion, but for such a large man he is rather quick and he even let some combinations go.

I didn't see the fight, so I should have chosen my words more carefully. I was merely saying that Vidoz has been coming in higher and higher in weight with each fight for a while and this was his career highest and that to me at least, shows that he isn't fully committed anymore and thus it is logical to assume that he is just in it for a pay day. But having not seen the fight yet, I can't say for sure. I hope you are right in saying that he did actually try and win.

Who would be a good next fight for Ustinov?

(he's already beaten Monte Barrett)

Boswell has some nice skills, that would indeed be an interesting fight.

They were supposed to fight a while back, on the Klitschko-Arreola undercard.

Overall, I was not impressed by Ustinov and I think that Vitaliy sitting at ringside was not either. It was one-sided, yet Vidoz managed to counter a few times. The major problem is that Ustinov does not hit hard. He should have stopped out of shape Vidoz. Yes, his output is good and he is not clumsy but something is missing. Maybe his problems with the right distance. Something is definitely missing.

I know, and I was crushed when the fight was scrapped. That would have been a good scrap and Boswell would have gotten the W.

Absolutely, and by KO without a doubt in my mind.

What's the latest on the Boz? He seems to have gone off the radar.
