I remember that was a strange fight. Arslan was wearing Paffen sport gloves while Jones was on Cleto Reyes. Both were looking for toe to toe action. It was more or less a logical outcome that Arslan got the pizza face and Jones looked like Floyd after that fight. If both had been wearing the same gloves im quite sure it would have been a much closer fight and Jones hadnt stopped Arslan. nevertheless it was a dominating victory by Guillermo Jones he desveres credit for.

The Arslan corner stops the fight after the 11th round, Herelius wins by TKO. Arslan looks in a very bad way in his corner, he couldn't throw even one punch for the last 2 minutes of the 11th.

Edit: Here's a sort of fight report from someone who half watched the fight and was interrupted by a few phonecalls while doing so, as no one else (not even IntentionalButt) seems to have bothered watching. Here it is:

Herelius started the fight quickly, won 3 of the first 4 on the German commentators' scorecards. After that, the fight looked pretty even with Herelius trying to dominate from outside with his long jab, Arslan following him around with a high guard and occasionaly throwing lefts that often found their mark as Herelius kept both his hands low and looked like a drugged Floyd Mayweather when trying to avoid punches. Arslan shook Herelius in one of the middle rounds with a winged left hook that hit Herelius on the ear, but the Frenchman stayed up. Herelius suffered a cut from a headbutt (in the 8th or 9th I think), he was deducted a point for headbutting in the very next round, though it looked to me as if it was Arslan who came in dangerously with his head.

We seemed on our way to a decision victory for the home fighter who was loudly cheered every time he threw a punch, until the 11th where he suddenly looked in trouble. Herelius kept the pressure on during the entire round, with uppercuts and hooks round the home fighters guard but couldn't drop Arslan. Firat only threw one punch in the 11th and laid onto the ropes after the bell had rung to end the round, apparently unable to make his way back to his own corner. He finally made it to his corner where they decided that Firat was in no way to continue. Arslan was taken away on a stretcher while Steve Herelius received the interim WBA trinket. The commentator blamed the terrible heat in the arena for Arslan's sudden collapse.

Lets just hope that Arslan is OK, he looked in a bad way at the end.

Taken out on a scretcher

Ref could have waived it off in the 11th on his own , Arslan's legs absolutely gone , I am surprised he didn't trip down trying to move away from the ropes . He did hang on the ropes as the rounded ended and ref had to help him reach his corner .

He is 40 years old, he was totally exhausted due to fast pace, Herelius did what he had to do.

Good win for Herelius but as expected he was not able to completely control Arslan. He was in trouble when his opponent successfully turned the fight into a war. Herelius looked fragile again but the good point for him is that his power seems a bit more efficient than it was at HW.

Regrettably, this one conflicted with anniversary plans with Mrs. Butt.

Hopefully it winds up on Youtube - it sounds like it wasn't necessarily a thriller but wasn't too bad either.

According to Kohl and Dr. Ehnert he is OK. No brain injury, he was just dehydrated.

Yep, I saw him doing an interview on ZDF today, he said his dehydration was taken good care of during his overnight stay at the hospital.
