he looks fit, he is definitely capable - but is he there mentally?

just take a look at who he has been sparring in the leadup to the fight, its about 2 weeks out of the fight and he has been sparring Trent Broadhurst and Mitreski Jnr? that says volumes alone, nothing more then a quick payday and knockout a coming and Briggs knows this or he would have got himself some decent sparring and not just adverage.

who has briggs been sparring? We aren't exactly overrun with contenders here....Shame he didn't get a couple of fights under his belt though I must agree.But I can't see briggs coming back from perceived neurological problems to want to get knocked out, no matter what the coin.

Reckon he's likely to be about as physically & mentally prepared as someone who hasn't fought for 3 years could be.

Briggsy's undoubtedly a fighter, through and through, but no lead-in bouts and perhaps ordinary sparring partners is very likely to hinder his chances.

Huge call mate, and it'll certainly be Briggsy's plan, and probably his only plan.

An opponent who can bang and has absolutely nothing to lose can certainly be a dangerous proposition.

He has also been sparring Andy Green who is an up and coming LTHeavy/Cruiser from here in Perth. He did work with Dave Letizia. And a few top Amatures from here in Perth.

He has been down to Melbourne and sparred a few guys down there also.

So i wouldnt go jumping to conclusions when you really have no idea.
