Yuriorkis Gamboa is fighting Elio Rojas to unify the WBA/WBC featherweight titles and Juanma is defending his WBO strap against Concepcion but even if these two are successfull in their bouts I think that the best way to go is for Juanma to fight the IBF Champ Orlando Salido and for Gamboa to defend his two titles against former champ Cristobal Cruz.
Cruz has won and lost a SD to Salido so he has some credibility and is a good name for Gamboa to fight whilst Lopez fights Salido. Two Great Champions Fighting for the Unified Featherweight Championship of the world and have the winner fight Rafael Marquez. Builds up a good record and makes sense money wise. |

Not really at all. Cruz was regarded as one of the worst champions in the game and now has been beaten, he should be in the 'who needs him club', and Salido isnt highly regarded at all.
Why shouldnt they fight next? Surely if you wanted them to fight for the unified title they would need to fight Chris John? |

I like Dan Rafael's proposed road map for the Lopez Gamboa fight:
