Default Shumenov vs. Uzelkov

Apparentely this fight is 2 weeks from now, didnt even know it was made.

Its hard to believe this fight is even taking place in California since both fighters are practically unknown.

Shumenov looked so bad in his last outing I dont know what to make of this.

Thoughts and predictions?

Uzelkov has a win over Tomas Adamek!!!

No, not the same guy as former CW champ and current HW contender Tomasz Adamek.

More importantly, he knocked Gabriel Campillo out for the count.

yep he koŽd Campillo with rough power but looked like an average euro level fighter beside that.

In case Shumenov isnt actually better than he looked like in the Campillio rematch i tend to favor Uzelkov a bit but not that much that i think heŽll get a decision.

This one should be a war - both guys like to move forward and just bomb away at full power. That said, I think Uzelkov's defense is just tighter, and he's more powerful than Campillo, so I'm picking him to score a late knockout. Hopefully he does - considering what happened in Shumenov-Campillo II, he'll probably need a knockout to score a draw.

Beibut does seem to have a heck of a chin despite fighting like a schmuck at times.

Uzelkov by decision unless judges are crooked which is more than likely the case ...Either way I don't see a knockout here which will end up in controversial decision .

I will be at this fight. Such a strange venue/location for this fight. The central valley of California is basically farmers central. The Central valley is also the "bible belt" of California. It sucks, but I am pumped for this fight.

Well getting hit by Campillo isn't exctly testing it. taking endless flush shots from Uzelkov will be another story if he hasn't tightened up his D.

Shumenov is very active especially early in his fights. Uzelkov should KO him in order to win the fight. I have seen him only against Campillo and it looked like it was a competitive fight before the KO.

True, Gabriel's on the lighter-hitting end of the scale, but Beibut's been matched tough from the very beginning and has never exactly shied away from leading with his face. Uzelkov will indeed test him.

Very true but i do think Uzelkov wil certianly be stiffer compitition than the versions of Griffin and Mitchell he faced (Mendoza had a decent record and KO % but had never really KO'd anyone of note)

lmao very true
