I think one of the things that has helped Scott is all the adverse publicity he has been getting, he know's he messed up, and all of that has pushed him to turn things around. It's good to see Scott back in training, and i wish him well and that he can make an impact on the boxing scene again.

Harrison vs Marquez would have been a quality fight a couple of years back

At least let him have a couple of fights first before anyone say's he hasnt got a hope of getting back near the top again.

Imo he can still be a force if in the right frame of mind.

Personally im happy to see that Dunky is still his No1 fan, is good as a lot of his so-called fans deserted him when his troubles started which is a shame. You dont change you're football team when they go through rough patches and the same applies to your favourite boxers

hey Doylexxx, did you know that Scottys comeback looks like being in Ireland? he was training in Dublin just a couple of weeks ago btw. Scotty wants to box in Ireland as he ****ed up the last time & wants to make amends.

It remains to be seen if he can come back at all never mind succesfully, but Im keeping my fingers & toes crossed that he does

To be brutally honest mate I was raging when Scotty pulled out of the Cook fight, words cant explain what was going through my big scottish head fter all the years I have been following his career & going to his fights!

But as you say, its like yer fve football team. When they get hammered you rage at them for a short while, but when you calm down you always go back for more! Im a bigger fan of Scotty than even the national football team!

hey, its my good pal kerrminator I was thinking about you when I heard Scotty was coming back, we always defended him like **** on the forums! You & me were like a two man army against thousands of horrible cunts on the assorted forums, but since Scottys been away, it seems people have actually realised that they missed him a little bit!

So I am glad to see the many goodwill messages he has recieved on the forums since he announced his comeback, shocked, but glad! & I bet you are too mate

Im well stoked hes back, I was angry at him for a very short while as you know, but hes still the man in my eyes, & always will be!

With ****** being involved in Scottys comeback I have a nasty feeling that ****** is doing this just to get him in the ring with Arthur... Cos ****** HATES Scotty, of that there can be no doubt!

I hope this fight doesnt happen, but Sports network look like they are angling for it.

No he can't. He has never shown the hand speed, footwork or raw one punch power to be as formidable as the absolute elite. He can be a world champion and can beat the majority, but to imply that he did anything in his career before going off the rails that puts him alongside the top tier is ludicrous and very very bias.

As an amateur he won a bronze medal in the European championships in 1996. You do not get this far in amateur boxing without a high skill level.

One punch power is handy to have in the armoury but it is not the sign of a good boxer. Ricky Ratton is not a one punch specialist but he is nonetheless an elite boxer.

He beat Julio Pablo Chacon at his peak. Wayne McCulloch said after their fight that no one had ever hit him as hard as Harrison.

I did not say that he had proved himself among the 'elite' mearly that he would give anyone at his weight a good fight. I still believe this to be true. If he keeps it together there may still be the opportunity for him to prove this.

It better not be in Ireland!!!He's let his Scottish fans down far more than he's let his Irish fans down.

Still can't get over that Guzman fight being cancelled, gutted doesn't come close. Then they tried to get Danny Williams to replace the fight
Then when he was supposed to be fighting in Belfast, I was ready to book up on that until it fell through.

No his comeback should be in front of his Scottish fans that have followed him through his career.

If he gets back in the ring then it'll top off probably my favourite boxing year I can remember. Nothing beats a packed Braehead waiting on our man Harrison coming out to do the business.

The only thing that's got me worried is during the interview he gave, when he was asked the last time he had a drink and he said he couldn't remember. He seemed caught off guard by the question and think he was telling a little lie. For someone in his shoes right now I think he would remember his last drink. And I get the feeling yesterday or last week was the real answer but he couldn't say that on national tv.

But on a positive note he looked in good shape and seems like he wants it again so I'll be right behind him as always

I can see what your saying Strike. But before he became World Champion he was a really good boxer, in the States he boxed the ears off Tom 'boom boom' Johnson (I think it was) and relied a lot more on his boxing skills. Even when he beat Chacon it was a good Boxing performance. But since then he seems to just want to come in and walk right through his opponents and forget the Boxing skills he has.

But he is definitely a good Boxer. Maybe at SFW or LW we'll see him go back to his Boxing when he isn't so much bigger than his opponents.
