Mundine has fought more bums then I see walking the streets at night. they might not take a dive like Briggs but where is the risk fighting someone like Ellis?

No mate, Briggs was shopping around for a fight against Mundine and/or Green for some time - he was going to come out of retirement to fight Mundine at 168 a couple of years ago. Green did not call Briggs out.

Ellis' flight to the Gold Coast was paid for by Team Mundine and it was all pre-arranged that Ellis would jump in the ring after the fight and challenge Mundine. It came out afterwards in a 60 minutes interview that Ellis was drunk when he fought Mundine and that Mundine claimed he was trying to help Ellis out of his hole by giving him a payday.

I think the timelines are blurry. I was aware that he was chasing mundine or green but that was as he was retiring or very early after...

- briggs therefore had over 3 months notice- more than enough time FACT
- less than 12 motnhs ago Mundines crew approached Brigss to fight Mundine FACT
- fenech just charged people to watch him fight nelson when nelson was told it was an exihibition FACT
- fenech 4 weeks ago was in briggs camp saying he would KO Green FACT

He would have had to move back up to atleast fight at LH...
