Ben Crampton

All you aussie guys presumably know about Crampton, just wondered what your views on his strengths and weaknesses are.

He is coming over apparently to fight for the comm middleweight title against Darren Barker one of our unbeaten prospects.

November 14th the date not far away and only just been announced not much time for Crampton really to get himself over and sorted.

Is he any good or just a padded record. Lots of people in the uk rate Barker highly, me,, I will reserve judgement but he does have good power and also puts his punches together well, be interesting to see him in a test just wondering if Crampton could provide that test.

you can ask him yourself mate.. he posts in the Aussie forum under the name TSFO... he's been posting a fair bit recently...

as for how the aussies rate him...

alot of people here think that he has a fairly padded record and should step it up..

personally i've seen him fight twice when i fought on amateur undercards of his fights.... he looked good in both fights but i dont know if the opponents were top class.. and im probly not the best person be judging fighters abilities..... but i see potential

TSFO when u fought Jamie Waru, before the fight do u remeber a bloody nosed kid comin in to your warm up room for a shower???

Crampton has 1 of the best padded records in Australia.
But by the looks of things so does this Darren Barker fellow.
I think Crampton might just pull this 1 off, but it is away from home & Crampton is a slapper so he will need to hit hard.

Whatarock and MSTR, whats your serious assessment of Crampton? I dont know enough about him to comment, why does he get all of the hate? He must be a good boxer, but he doesnt test himslef?

What I have seen of Ben which is once on Foxtel again very limited opposition, not a big puncher, good all round boxing skills and a bit of hand and foot speed, I have not seen him under pressure.

Most of you blokes use the "I always support Mundine when he's fighting a non-Aussie cos you've always gotta support your fellow countryman" but here's an Aussie going over to the UK to fight a pom and you're all bagging him!
