His pad work looked a bit odd to me. He's got good hands heavy hands even. But the focus of pad work is to work precision and combinations. I guess he was playing to the crowd. From a boxing purist perspective id like to see him a bit tighter with his hands highere but his striking works very well in MMA.

im telling you, if JDS gets a shot at the title he'd split lesnars skull down the middle. assuming brock beats cain, dont get me wrong i like brock and all but out of all the UFC champions brock is the most beatable. and with the HW division getting more and more talented its only a matter of time. if its one thing we got out of the carwin fight lesnar cant handle someone with good standup, and who better then JDS for that?

Bump because Cigano is a bad mother****er and for new Open Workout vid. Edit - Watching it now myself and am noticing what someone brought up in the comments is the guy who edited this video did something which is annoying as **** where he edited in Junior saying, "I'm Junior dos Santos and you're watching MMAHeat." So, a warning to everyone... it's annoying and only bearable because it's a cool vid to see Junior throwing hands. |

I'm about halfway through it now and as Joe Rogan would say... GAD DAMN, SON!
Cigano is a killer with those hands! Technique is crisp, he's got some snap in those punches and **** he's fast! Just.... **** he's fast! Unless your name is Alistair Overeem (and even that's maybe not enough) you'd be absolutely positively out of your mind to want to trade punches/strikes with this guy. |

He is an improved version of Chuck Liddell. His whole style is based on looking open while ad******g his timing and range to land fight ending blows. His boxing is much better than chucks and so far he seems to have comparable grappling skills to fend off attacks thus allowing him to **** people up. |
