Gift Decision.

Sautherland sold out Valuev to get Haye under contract.

There are two kinds of boxing fans, people who gave this fight to Valuev and people who know how to score boxing matches.

Well said. End of story.

Valuev barely landed a glove on Haye all night.

A decent win for Haye. Haye hurt his hand so you didn't see the same explosiveness, but he won 8-4.

Again, with the word "robbery" FFS! Close ****ing fight, nobody did anything. Haye wobbled Valuev and won the fight. Valuev was robbed. GTFOH.

2 out of 10 in overall performance. It is a 2 because Haye wobbled Valuev in the last round, and there was action for about 30 seconds total.

First of all, Chagaev won the WBA championship in the ring, then the WBA took that title away from Chagaev and gave it to Valouev. Haye did nothing but run like Hell, hardly threw any punches at all. This crap was prefabricated. Haye broke two contracts with Klitschkos, plus lied. Now Haye is trying to find a way to get out of fighting Chagaev. Haye is a fraud.

Haye just eeked out a victory. Seriously, if it wasn't for Valuev staggering slightly in the latter rounds from a punch, Haye's performance would have been down right embarrasing. Haye fought like he had something to hide.

Acknowledged. Haye did just as badly though.

Robbery?
Be interesting if somebody could provide video where SNV actually hit Haye.

Chagaev and Holyfield showed how to beat Valuev. Haye had the chance to see how they did it. Nothing special or exciting about that perfomance.

That was not a fight at all. It was so damned boring, just running and a very few punches thrown into the air.

Valuev sucked arse, and Haye is clearly the better man, but i thought it was a pretty average performance from Haye. He could have stopped him if he wasn't afraid of stamina problems and threw more than 7 punches in the fight.

You could certainly argue that Holyfield beat Valuev more convincingly, which puts into perspective just how bad Nikolai Valuev is. The only highlight of the Haye fight was when he finally let his hands go and wobbled him.

The Valuev - Haye fight sucked, but it could have been excusable if Haye - as he promised - went on to a higher calling right after he took possession of the WBA belt.

But he did the opposite. He went into hiding, clinging on to his belt, unwilling to risk it. In hindsight, that makes his fight against Valuev much worse.

Dirrell landed less punches than Froch. He didn't badly hurt Froch. He spent the entire fight holding, running and crying about fouls.

Haye was elusive. He didn't run, but that elusive. Dirrell literally ran. Despite throwing far less punches, Haye landed more, landing at a near 70% success rate. Anyone care to name a 12 round fight, where the success rate was close to that?

Dirrell's performance was shocking. Like I said in another thread, neither he or Froch deserved to win, but Dirrell deserved to lose. Did Haye? He landed more punches, at a massive success rate, and was barely hit? He deserved to win, even though his output was very small.

And, of course, you have to take Haye's broken hand into consideration. That was the reason for his lack of punch output.
