undercard decembre the 4th in Austria.
According to the news very promising Russian heavy weight talent Denis Boytsov(18-0) will appear on a fight card in decembre. The main fights of that event will be two cruiser weight fights with Pole Aleksy Kuziemski (13-0) and Czech olympic silver medal winner Rudolf Kraj(12-0). Armenian warrior Khoren Gevor(27-3) will also appear on the undercard as well as young Russian heavy weight talent Vladimir Tereshin(3-0). Interesting fight card! Boytsov's first show in the ring after a long break(5 months),Gevor's first bout after his courageous battle with reigning middle weight king Abraham, and two very promising fighters at cruiser showcasing their skills. |

A rematch with Ondrej Pala would be great and desirable! |

I'd be interested to read your views on what kind of
opponent would be best for him in this fight and the fight to follow. I'd like to see him take on a tough older experienced opponent at some stage soon. |

Julius Francis. Though have no clue whether he is still active or has retired from boxing for good! Sedrick Fields.Tough son of a bitch. Can make the water hot for a lot of young guns. Ondrej Pala.He has won all his fights since he lost to Boytsov by tko.Pala seemed to be very competitive against Boytsov and their encounter seemed to be pretty close as well up the point the fight was stopped due to an injury. To be honest I would like to him matched against some decent American opponents in the next few outings to a ring. |

in the US against Sedrick Fields would be ideal. Fields has lost a lot of fights - but he has a habit of taking very decent HWs to UDs. Even Chagev in their first fight. The guy has been in there with everyone over the years and deserves respect for it. He wouldn't be phased by Boytsov one bit. Even a fight in Germany against someone such as SF would be great. Pala is still pretty young himself and maybe could wait a little while for Boytsov. |

i think boystov will be fed a stiff first time back to get the ring rust of and hopefully a month later can have a better test .
i like him though and missed not seeing him in action much this year. i rate him as a better overall propect , even than povetkin, i think he could be the real deal. if his chin is solid, he will go far. Last edited by Mercury4; 08-18-2006 at 01:19 AM. |

His next opponent will probably be nothing more than target practise.Like you I hope that the following opponent will be a tougher test and offer some stiff resistance. |

heavyweight amateur in history? The same fighter who just defeated the best american heavyweight in a long time; the crafty defensive wizzard Chris Byrd? You do realize that Byrd nearly stopped tough guy and powerpuncher Tua with a bodyshot a few years back right? Please explain this statement. |

i see povetkin as a good all around fighter , with decent power/boxing abilty/chin/workrate. i see boystov as a better , more technically skilled all around fighter , with better power /better boxing abilty/chin is yet to be tested/workrate and stamina is yet to be tested. but looking at them both objectivley i see boystov having faster hands/better punch picker/better jab/better feet/he see`s openings and is able to exploit them , whereas povetkin will throw 3 and 4 to land his shot. as to povetkin`s win over chris byrd win , it was good and methodical, but nothing surprisng from my perspective and i did not see anything from povetkin that i had not seen before. |

6.1 / 218 is fine.
he will be 225 to 230 in 2 or 3 years and still carrying no excess weight . he is very young and should improve, and i see a lot of talent in him, moreso than in all the other young heavys like greenburg/ etc etc. i do not know what was the bad injury he had as a teenager ? |

forum talking up and sing A.P.'s praises every time his name comes up in a thread. Artani's right though. I went overboard with the best amatuer heavy in history stuff but I like the fact he avenged his few defeats and never was severely beaten by anyone. His record as an amatuer is incredible. I do agree with Sean that Boytsov has a better jab than A.P. when I saw him fight a journeyman on Y-tube. It was quick, powerful and accurate. I'll be surprised though if he outdoes Povetkin as a fighter. Povetkin has great boxing fundamentals, good chin, great stamina and as Bigcat pointed out in the general forum is frustratingly hard to hit properly. |
