Nope. As long as he is fair and keeps a clean fight.

You don't think that warnings and deductions are sometimes necessary?

When Floyd sucker punches on the break, in a fight where he threw more elbows than punches, it's absolutely fine. When Maidana gets inside on Floyd the Flomos lose their mind

The choice of ref is going to be crucial to Mayweather's success in the rematch.

There is no sucker punch on the break, if the ref makes a break and you aren't ready to defend yourself, that's your problem. Please name the fight when Mayweather threw more elbows than punches.

Depends on who the ref is.
Lucky for us boxfans Cortez has retired.

But the fight is in Vegas, so there's a much bigger chance the judges will

I disagree. There are only so many refs they can choose from, and you never know exactly how the guy is going to call it.

It depends. Will the ref be calling elbows, hitting with the forearms, excessive clinching and bending below the waist?

He should be, and rabbit punches, low blows, tackles, knees... They need a ref that is fair and gives a clean boxing match.
