Well in a boxing context it means hitting the floor, in other contexts it can be used to mean overwhelmed or stunned. MW is using the term incorrectly.

In general conversation, it just means "stunned". In boxing terminology, it's been knocked down.

I think on EastSideBoxing, talking about boxer Jean Pascal, you have to assume they meant "floored" in the boxing sense.

It's like...

"Lennox Lewis knocked out Hasim Rahman"
"No, he didn't"
"Yes, he did"
"He didn't knock him out of the ring, thus, no knock out"
"**** off, you cunt"

you would think so, if i was to say i saw mike tyson floor this bum with the first punch he threw, i think it is clear what intention i have when i say it.

3. a. To knock down.
b. To stun; overwhelm: The very idea floored me.

You are a retard. It's not being used in a literal sense. Stunned as in, shocked, overwhelmed. However in boxing, there's no need for that, because you will get stunned, literally, and you will get floored, literally. Therefore nobody uses the term floored to mean "STUNNED". They say stunned! cause he was literally stunned. Or floored because he was literally floored.

So there's 2 possibilities, you were wrong and he wasn't ever floored. Or you used the term wrong. I'm 100% it's the first one though.

You are like a ****ing brick wall, useless arguing with you, but I tried. However you will deny being wrong again like you always do.

"Floored" in boxing means when you enter the ring and you notice a few hot ladies and your "floored" by them but you dont touch the canvas with anything other than your feet but your still floored!! LOL

Anyone with even half a brain knows in order to be floored in boxing you need to hit the canvas

would you consider someone who's hand touches the canvas to be floored? Like Tarver vs Hopkins? I'd say no.
