Put Marvin Hagler in the 1950's

Say the Hagler who drew with Vito Antuofermo in '79,was transplanted into 1951,and take it from there. Mouth watering matches with Robinson,Turin etc would occur. How succesful would Marvin have been ?

Good question,Mr Butt. If Robinson and Hagler had indeed fought,i could see them fighting four times in approx five years. That is,if Robinson still retired in '52 and came back a few years later.

Hagler was a great southpaw with a terrific right jab, far and away the best southpaw jab ever seen in boxing to that time. That jab, along with his chin and lateral mobility, would have made him a daunting obstacle for any middleweight of the 1950s to contend with.

I have a freind who is in his mid 80's, and saw both Robinson and Haglar live. His opinion was that Robinson/Haglar would be a candidate for fight of the decade in any decade.
