He clearly fought a better prepared Cotto, both technically and physically. That win has him catching up. I give Pac the edge, but it's getting close to even IMO. Everyone rags on the Bradley fight, but in perspective, that might turn out to be a very good win as well...

pac's legacy is all smoke and mirrors. his best wins were against barrera, morales and marquez. floyd was fighter of the year in '98 and '08. his biggest wins have all come on EVEN PLAYING FIELDS. pac had to have things tipped in his favor for his wins.

Mosley was prime at 135.

When they wanted the fight in 2006, Mosley turned it down. It sucks, but lots of politics involved.

In their prime days Manny was fighting Barrera , Morales and JMM.

Floyd in his prime was fighting Brussels , Gatti and fooking Shamba Mitchell.

This should not be forgotten . A legacy is not one year or one fight.

Floyd wasn't prime in 2005. Floyd was prime probably from 99-2003 when he fought Corrales, Castillo, Hernandez etc.

Barrera was not prime in 2003 dude. It was a good win but he had already been in a ton of wars and KTFO already.

He's pulled closer, but he's still not close. Cotto was a good win....his best win in all likelihood. I rank it higher than the Corrales fight. But then you consider Pac (a smaller fighter) not only beat a younger fresher version...he beat him up. Floyd still doesn't have career defining type beatdowns in the quality of Pac/Mab 1. Maybe it's not his fault, there's not enough fighter's of that caliber around his weight class going up, but he really didn't do himself any favors by not fighting certain fighters and having long lulls of inactivity. At the end of the day, ATGreatness is judged on quality not quantity. Sure Floyd is 43-0, but he still trails Pac in the quality department....and he's pretty much ran out of time.

Pulling closer, he's matching the big names that Pac has. Pac is fighting more often helps with his resume, whereas Floyd's fight intervals helps with his ppv
