I've just came home from training where my jaw got some heavy beating.
Under the sparring session I did'nt stood a chance against my opponent because i simply did'nt know what to do. I'm about 5.9 feet tall (180cm) and wiegh about 137 puonds (62kg), so i'm usually much taller then my opponents. My basic strategi is to keep distance to my opponent and do many straight punches. My opponent was about 5.5 feet (~167cm) and probably in the same weight-class. During the sparring, i've started of keeping the distance and carefully jabbed with the left. My opponent on the other hand had a very low stance (not crouching but almost), and sorta waited for me to close in the distance. When i then came in closer (because the low stance made me do it so I could reach him) he does a very fast high left hook or a fast high uppcut. Sometimes i had my right by my face and blocked the punch, and sometimes he hit, and he hit hard - it felt like a lottery or something like that. So, what should i do? (sorry for spelling/grammar probs, i'm swedish)
