TKO!
Actually Povetkin should fight more and stay active. If he really wants Vladimir one day, then he should start prepareing now by fighting ,fighting and again fighting. Like Tyson was ment to meet Lewis, so is Povetkin's destiny to meet Vladimir Klitshko. Why not feed Samuel Peter to him or any other Strong boxers. Even Briggs would be good to test his ability of taking a solid punch. |

Scott is a decent boxer, but Povetrkin is all wrong for him stylewise. Povetkin is fast and puts the puches well together and throws a lot. That should not suit the skilled Scott at all. Thats why many of Povetkinīs opponents has been just like Scott... They have picked guys like Byrd and Chambers cos they are just like Scott.

I'd hardly call Eddie Chambers "just like Scott". Chambers was tagging Povetkin repeatedly and was on good track to winning that fight then after the 5th round he just stopped letting his hands go. Povetkin has little defense ability, he relies on his output to be his defense. I think it's fair to say though that Povetkin hasn't faced anyone with serious power, and I think he'll go down if not to sleep as soon as he does face someone with big pop. |

Scott is steps above Leo Nolan and Damon Reed or whoever he just fought...
Skilled boxer.... solid amateur pedigree... but i think his inactivity would hurt em against povetkin... Would actually be a fairly interesting fight.. Malik could pull it off... |

Scott would be good opponent for Vitali or Vlad, but where is he? I don't think he in ranked any more, but if he were ranked in top ten would be interesting fight, at least compared to the others perhaps.

I sincerely hope Malik stepts it up. but he is not going to get Povetkin, who could basically have a shot at the title any time he wants.
given his excellent, undefeated record against inferior competition, he should fight every 2-4 months agaisnt mid-range guys, and he will be garunteed that one of the four alphebet organizations ranks him and he gets a fight. I have always cheered for him, but it is his own inactivity holding him back. |
