Do you consider Juan Manuel Marquez to be an ATG - Page 7

Medina was shot when fought Marquez.he was one of those fighters who would keep making brief comebacks and getting decent results when written off, but by this time he really was an old fighter.

I agree in theory he would be the type to make Marquez look less than at his best, but it would have taken a prime medina for that i'd say.

Medina was past his best and knocking on a bit, no doubt. I just think that Barrera and Morales are at times given certain concessions in comparison to Marquez that are slightly unfair.

Barrera and Morales fought their fair share of old, weathered opponents, but they deserved some rest bite after beating the shit out of one another in 2000. It's a miracle they even went on for as long as they did after that barn burner, the kind of brutal war that changes fighters.

Marquez is a great fighter, but he isn't an ATG in my opinion and I think I've explained my reasoning fairly well.

Shot fighters do not go on to beat a physical beast like Scottie Harrison. Medina's competition was pretty amazing over the years too

You may have a point most of the criticism of JMM is pretty unfair, I'm personally a fan of both, more so of MAB who I rate a little higher, but both have been considered the MAN in 3 weight classes, which is special. How do you rate the 3 Mexicans Divac? I'd go 1. MAB 2. JMM 3. Morales
