I don't think the guys on the forum are qualified to answer this question. You should consult your physician for info such as this. Hopefully you can make a full recovery with some type of rehabilitation.

I've got a bulging disc - obviously I can't answer the question as to whether you specifically can ever box again, but it's definitely something that won't stop everybody.

After a lot of doctor visits, some cortisone shots, and a few months of physical therapy, I actually STARTED boxing because I was told that getting into better shape would lessen the chances of reaggravating the injury.

If you want to get back into boxing, keep your doctor in the loop and don't jump right back in without a lot of really good physical therapy. When you do start training again, make sure your trainer's aware of your issues and can adjust for them if something isn't good for your back. For me, strength training and core work were key as well.

Na, your ****ed.
Bulging disc ???
That was basically when I quit.
Sure, you will get better and work out, run, hit the bag etc.,
but you will never be as tough and durable as you could of been.
So will have limitations.
And you will probably hurt it again.
That should answer your question.

I also started boxing after an back injury: burst a disc in my spine which left me with a torn hip flexor and one leg 2" longer than the other. After much physio I am right as rain.
Following an injury like that you will need to keep the weight off, keep the core strong so you may as well do as much as you can. It all depends how much you want it really.
Certainly wouldnae just give up without trying; sounds like boxing might not be the right sport for our Rodders, a fair element of determination is required

Just ignore what everybody here has told you and go to the doctor. Do you seriously think anyone on this forum can diagnose how serious your injury is and what your limitations are when you don't even know how serious it is yourself? Why you've come on here, a boxing forum, asking this question I don't know.

Your injury is unique to you. People here may have had similar injuries, some may still box others may have quit, that doesn't mean shit to you as this is your injury.
