Settle down guys.

When he took on Acousta he was offered a "3 pack Argie tin can" package deal.

He'll face Kessler after this, and then go up and face Dawson in the US.

What excuses? It is what it is. Mundine is fighting the lowest possible ranked opponent while waiting for another big money/big name fight. Who else would you be expecting for a fight that is 5 weeks away. I'm not complaining, at least he's fighting.

Maybe an actual top 15 opponent. Fuck you guys crack me up. He is supposed to be a world champion. He should be confident in his ability to face credible opponents and come out on top. Just because it isn't a major fight, doesn't mean you have to fight the bum of the month. Anyway, when it comes to Mundine your opinion isn't worth anything, your about as biased as they come.

I am sorry to butt in but here is my two cents:

Mundine will never fight a top 10 SMW fighter again. Yes, he might go up to fight Danny Green or even down to fight some overrated MW, but that is it...he is 32 and a half and time is running out...unless he goes for Bute or Froch or Inkin sometime next year, this is it...we can all forget it! And it doesn't look likely, either...

Even Froch who calls out the best all the time and says he can beat them will have had better fights this year and even Froch knows he has to step it up...but for some reason, Mundine gets away with it...Not in my book...we might as well assume he has retired from the division, like Beyer...unless you are a fan of the "Argentinian taxi circuit", Mundine's career path is irrelevant.

I hope he proves me wrong but I am not holding my breath.

Funny thing is that he would beat Bute, Froch and the rest apart from JC and Kess. He is just to cautious to do so.

It isn't even an opinion, I'm just stating the obvious. I mean seriously, you expect something better from Mundine? at this point in time. Don't get your hopes up lol.

Im very dissapointed however because how can this man be called Number 3 at 168 when all he does is avoid really tough opponents.

Yes he stepped it up against Green,Soliman but he has had way to many crappy opponents of late which means for me i feel Mundine is on the decline.

The worst thing about it all most Aussie fighters infact all Aussie fighters are used to being the underdog type guy were they fight guys that are way above there talent.
Like
Briggs vs Adamek
Fenech vs Nelson
Green vs Beyer
Harding vs Andries
etc etc

They have heart and determination were Mundine will charge through the rough to watch him beat up some C Level fighter.
Other Aussies fight out of there skin to get what they deserve RESPECT where as Mundine is happy fighting in Sydney for a belt that really isnt even his.

Dont get me wrong im not a Mundine hater i just feel let down yet once again by a fighter that calls himself the Man where it more like he his a boy amongst Men.

Show 2 boxing PPV's on the same day??
Coz that morning has Mayweather vs Hatton in the USA.
If they were smart they would do a double PPV offer.
Otherwise i wont pay for this Mundine mismatch.

Briggs was favourite in his first fight with Adamek, and I'm pretty sure green was too (in Australia).

They are not scared of putting it all on the line where Mundine is. I mean they took risks for starters by leaving these shores to fight in the Chicago a highly populated Polish city and for Green to go to Germany.

When was the last time you saw Mundine take a risk. Hell the only risk ive seen him take was against Ottke.

Well, in terms of leaving his own country to fight, yes, but Mundine has taken more dangerous fights than Green has throughout his career.

Ottke, Echolls, Kessler, Soliman, Siaca as opposed to Green taking on Beyer, Lucas.

Anyway, that counts for little now, because this fight is crap.

He would never fight the top 2's leftovers...he is too proud. But he might want to fight unbeaten Top 10ers...
