Attended Marks press conference yesterday and he has a look of determination to make this happen. "One year to make or break my career" Mark is heading into talks with Don King this week with a plan to set up a fight within the next 6 months to elevate him into the WBC top 15 and become eligible for a World Title Fight. Nikolai Valuev is his target to enact this plan....."he is big and slow".... Mark also didn't discount a lead up fight happening in Australia before the years end and mentioned that, "any fight in Australia I am open to, all they have got to do is get in contact with my promoter Don King". http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/u...o/IMG_0671.jpg |

Just hope he manages to get the fights that can lead to where he wants to go, and in a reasonable time-frame.
You don't have to look any further than Kali Meehan to see what Don King can 'do' for an Aussie heavyweight. |

I spoke with Mark and he is adament about a 12 month window in which to make his plan work.
If it gets going and is heading in the right direction i think he will have the momentum for it to go all the way. Channel 9 were filming the press conference....not sure if it was aired last night or is in line for a run sometime this week. |

"Initial plans are to really fine-tune my skills for my next fight. Most likely this will be in November," de Mori said.
"By the end of summer, I hope to be one of World Boxing Council's top-10 heavyweights, at which stage my team will commence negotiations with current title holders to lock in the big one. the guy can fight and is entertaining and seems likeable, but u can't just go from fighting very average fighters and a year of inactivity to winning a fight or two and expect to be fighting for a world title. it's not as easy as that, lol. i like his confidence, but his only focus should be on just getting in the damn ring. the rest will sort itself out as far as fighting for a world title. anyway good luck to him. |

Sally would've went apopletic yesterday as Mark was in a suit for the first part of the press conference.

A trainer once said to me"All you have to do is win and they can't deny a decent shot at any title"If he can do it goodluck to him!I just hope its not just another publicity spinner, that ends in nothing.
