Had to bump this one.
Tunney was ahead of his time in many aspects. He used to set his training camps in the mountains, precursor of what we call mental training, and was among the very first using video taped (when they were available) to study his opponents. His fighting style showed that he truly was among the greatest technician, using the ring efficiently, analyzing his opponents in the first rounds and adapting his style to it...
This image is just another proof of his great interest in the psychological approach of fighting.
A fascinating man.

And if this pic is from 86, what is the occasion? Thought it was for Louis' funeral at first but he died in 81.

I might be way off and end up laughing at myself if corrected later, but if you mean the one Leonard's got his arm around, not the one over from him, I think that's Joe Louis' son. ...I think.
