Default New Boxing magazine

Alright fellas

Hope this doesn't result in a ban but I thought I'd let you all know that there's a new boxing magazine being launched in Dec/Jan at the latest called 'Undisputed' which I'm chuffed to be a part of on the UK side of things.

The website launched last night too [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Things are still taking shape so not everything is perfect but there's high hopes for it.

Don't worry ESB I wont paste articles in here.

Thanks

I don't get it. Is it going to be an actual magazine (i.e. printed) because it refers to itself as a 'digital publication'?

Well it seems to cost ten dolars for a two year subscription (24 issues a year) so it seems like it must be online...and if you read the stuff for advertisers it clearly talks about it as a digital magazine; one of those ones where it simulates flipping a page over.

If it is, I won't be subscribing but good luck!

Although I am confused too...the word "print" is used. If it was paper, I might buy...I'm awfully old-fashioned like that!

Its an online magazine. A sister publication to MMA e-zine [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. At the subscription price its well worth subscribing to - you're talking less than 50cents per issue. As we've done with Scrapp, Undisputed will bring readers a mixture of interviews with the biggest fighters, indepth feature pieces and fight previews.

Genuine questions (because I know nothing about it): How does an 'online magazine' differ from a website? Is it sort of formatted like a mag in pdf or something?

And how will you have an editorial advantage over websites? Just more, in depth features, etc?

Anyway, good luck.

Yeah its a magazine in PDF. So the advantage is better formating - brighter backgrounds, photos integrated into features, etc. The advantage over doing a magazine is that its cheaper and that the production times are far shorter.

To have a look at how it works, check out this month's preview of Scrapp [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

The online magazine format actually looks good and works quite well

I think Vivek is one of the better writers around.

Who do you think he is biased towards?

I agree. Despite being a pretty good writer, his bias isn't disguised as well as he thinks it is. His coverage of the whole Mayweather/Pacquiao issue stunk of one-sided writing, and was picked up by every reader.
