Default L hook, straight R and Switch... how?

And little tips for this little move? When and where would it be effective? Does anyone use this?

It would be jab, L hook, R cross with a step and in effect switching stance to become southpaw for a brief moment.

I do things like that alot.

I prefer to weave to the right as I put the right foot forward and step to their outside. It keeps you out of the way of any retaliation punches.

From that side right hook, left uppercut is a nice combo.

Just be a bit careful as you bring the right leg through. The last thing you need is to get nailed with one foot in the air. Also, when planting the right foot after the shot, be sure that it lands to the right of your opponent's lead foot (left, assuming an orthodox opponent). This is the ideal foot position for a southpaw against an orthodox as it ensures that the target is in the strike zone for a southpaw left hand.

Isn't that merely lateral movement? I do it too, but it does not make me switch stance as I rotate back while pivoting. Jab, step forward to the right, throw the right in the turn back to normal stance. With a bit of luck he'll still be in no position to throw.

I'm not a switch hitter, I hate the whole idea

Nope, I step forward diagonally as I do it, so instead of pivoting on the left foot as my right comes outside, my right foot just steps forward and I can carry on..

and just fyi, against a southpaw with good footwork it fails completely.
