I think Mundine V Calzaghe would go a lot closer than people think, but JC would win in the end IMO.

The fight will never happen though, which is one of the reasons I was hoping Kessler would win. MK has shown that he only wants to fight the contenders and champions of SMW, whereas JC prefers to take his time, pick easy opponents inbetween big fights and challenge people in other weights.

Niether of them are going to stick around at 168 just so mundine gets his chance. Mundine may have had what it took to step in the ring with calzaghe but settled for less (fighting no name argie's) and now he's getting left behind. A shame really, he could have been better than that.

sambo

mundine made the offer

obviously it wasn't a big enough name cannot blame mundine for that $2mil is a lot to knock back for a flight to aus

Calzaghe would only need a 800thousand pound(around2.1million$) purse in the uk to be on par with that offer.

And Calzaghe has been getting paydays like that for awhile now and gets to fight at home so really the mundine offer was a insult..

At this stage it would take atleast 5million plus for joe to bother looking at the paperwork.

I dont think Joe will fight Mundine...Joe will look for 1 more big fight...maybe VS Bhop.

If Joe and Mundine were to fight Joe would win on points by 4 or 6 rounds.....however I think Mundine would do well and he would be fast but Joes work rate would win the fight

calzaghe's hand speed is probably his most underated, unnoticed attribute, i think you will find he is probably quicker than choc.....

I don't see Mundine beating either Kessler or Calzaghe.

Mundine doesnt even get close to Calzaghe in a match.
Calzaghe by a near shutout IMO.

No, Mundine has not a chance in hell. But there's no shame in saying that, I mean Calzaghe may well be the best fighter in the sport period. I mean he's close to Roy Jones in terms of natural talent add that to his toughness, chin, and in-fighting ability, and you get one really really supreme fighter.
