Default Youngest fighters to turn pro

Hebert Goldman's list goes:

1: Baby Arizmendi-Aged 10
2: Teddy Baldock-14
3: Al McCoy-14
4: Battling Nelson-14*
5: Georges Carpentier-14
6: Kid Sullivan-14
7: John Henry Lewis-14
8: Ted (Kid) Lewis-15
9: Jack (Kid) Berg-15
10: Lou Bogash-15

*(Pro debut in question)

This is taken from June 1993 Boxing Illustrated.

Benitez is another fighter who turned pro at 15. But can anyone add or perhaps even take away from this list?

Some say as young as 7...

Boxrec has his first fight as being 1927; Goldman in the article (BI: June 93), has it as being in 1924.

Baby Arizmendi at the age of just 10

The Ring magazine said that Baby Arizmendi was perhaps the youngest person ever to have become a professional boxer; he turned pro at the ripe old age of 13, although some swore he was only seven when he had his first pro fight. Others have him listed as 10.

I don't think anyone knows for sure but here a list:

Len Harvey 12 years 175 days, Pro Debut January 2, 1920
Teddy Baldock 12 years 298 days. Pro debut Mrach 14, 1921
Baby Arizmendi 13 years 208 days, Pro debut March 17, 1914
Rodolfo Gonzalez 13 years 336 days, Pro debut November 17, 1959

Al Diamond out of Paterson New Jersey was just 13 when he started in 1927.

Manuel Medina, who fought and defeated Scott Harrison and was then beaten in the return a year or 2 ago, he was 14 years old when he began boxing as a pro.

Here's another list:

Youngest pro debut by a fighter:
1. Baby Arizmendi age 10
2. Teddy Baldock age 14
3. Al McCoy age 14
4. Battling Nelson age 14
5. Georges Carpentier age 14

Nipper Pat Daly (boxrec.com) - he was 8 or 9 years old in his first pro fight. he had a record of 100 wins - 11 losses and 8 draws.

Surely there has got to be other unknown pro fighters(fighters who fought for a purse) of round the same age that these fighters were fighting at 10 years old.

9 and 10 seems quite outrageous to me that someone would let them fight. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it's absurd, to me. Freddie Steele I think was pretty young, 14/15 somewhere.

How do you want to hold your own against grown man at the age of 10. That´s beyond me.
