Default Educate me on Money-Pac tickets & Closed Circuit

I'm going to be in Vegas the weekend of the fight. I know the chances of getting tickets are close to zero but I live in hope.

Are tickets only available directly from MGM? And when do they go on sale?

My back up plan is watching it on closed-circuit. Where is best to watch it and how do I purchase tickets?

Thanks for the help.

From what the rumors are they are selling 1000 seats to the public @ $1000, obviously they will be seats furthest away from ring.

As to close circuit viewing, me and my fam went last year to the Maidana rematch. Cheapest fight tickets were $400 and I couldn't pay for me and wifey after holding down everything else, So I ordered online tickets for closed circuit at the MGM (we stayed at Signature). They costs me $100 each and were marketed it as a closed circuit party. When in reality it was just a ballroom that they put about 500 folded chairs on with about a 150 inch screen. They did serve hamburgers/hotdogs/chips & alcoholic beverages, though, we have to pay for these.

Was the closed circuit tickets worth it?! We were out there for a birthday celebration as well as being in Vegas for the fight,so we had fun regardless and made the most out of it. With that said, if I were going to this fight as well (out of budget), I would probably go to a bar on/around the strip and just watch it there. Pay $20 (which is what most bars normally charge) and let that be it. It would have been better if we could have ordered fights in our rooms, especially since we were staying at a MGM property. All in all, we had fun though.

Keep in mind, the close circuit viewings at select casinos/hotels are rumored to be $150-$200 for this fight if you pre order online (which is what I did last year). They normally don't sell until about 2 weeks before the actual fight, but you may want to call MGM or any MGM property in Vegas, as it may be different for a fight of this magnitude.

Also, follow ShowTime sports and/or Floyd's website to get put on email list for updated events. tickets, closed circuits, etc... leading up to the fight.

OH yeah 1 MORE THING... if budget allows and/or are you able to attend, look into the Rehab Pool Party at the Hard Rock Hotel. Mayweather throws a pool party there the Sunday after the fight. We went last year ..... It was like a movie! Tickets are also available online. They started at $50 per person online if you got them within the first few days, however, people were paying $200 at the door! It was the biggest pool party event I have ever attended! Again sign up or follow the social media apps of Floyd/Showtime Sports, to get up to date info.

Enjoy your trip man!

you know what.. unless your getting good seats (and i doubt you will as i assume they are all snapped up if they arent allready out of your price range) then i feel youd be better off watching an event like that at home on PPV or at a BAR where you can get the crowd atmosphere with the great viewing experience (and if you can hear it the commentary)

Thanks for the feedback.

If it was up to me I'd love to be watching it from the comfort of my home. Unfortunately, I'm on a work placement in LA till that weekend and then I fly to Boston for work the following week.

I refuse to miss this fight, so I'm travelling to Vegas from LA on the Friday, watching the fight on Saturday and then flying to Boston Sunday.

If closed circuit guarantees me a spot to watch the fight I pay a little more. I don't want to risk not getting in the bars because I know they will be heaving with fight fans.

I like the suggestion for the pool party but I'll probably be flying out first thing Sunday morning.

If you hear anything that might be helpful, I'd appreciate a heads up.

Thanks

I been trying to keep a eye on tickets as well but I'm not buying from no scalper so I came to the conclusion that I won't be attending fight live.

Closed circuit TV? It sounds great with all the hype vegas will have. But I'm afraid it will be so packed that I will have a ****ty view of the fight. So for me, I will stay at home and watch it on ppv to ensure I don't hassle to watch it.

Get some mates over and watch it at home on PPV. We have about 10-15 people over for any Mayweather/Khan/Pac fight and the atmosphere is still great.
