The next likely objective for Finnish professional boxer [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], the current EU heavyweight title holder, would be to fight for the European Heavyweight Championship title.
“That would be a natural step. The European Championship bout is on the agenda”, admitted Helenius’s German promoter-manager [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Helenius and his cohorts are now waiting for the ranking lists by the professional boxing sanctioning bodies, after which plans will be drawn for the next bout of the “Nordic Nightmare”.
The current European Heavyweight Championship title holder is Ukrainian [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. His next opponent in the title ring will be Poland’s [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. “Robert would beat them both easily”, said Wilfried Sauerland.
According to the Sauerland team matchmaker [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], Helenius’s next bout could well take place in Finland.

Late Saturday night Helenius defended his EU belt with crushing effectiveness in Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena. Helenius beat his opponent [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] of Sweden with a technical knockout in the second round.
In the same bout the Finn was also awarded the vacant WBO Inter-Continental title.

With the easy win over Levin, Helenius’s balance sheet as a pro fighter now reads 14 wins in 14 bouts.
After the fight Helenius was nevertheless somewhat restrained when asked about the possible future title bouts.
“If the coach thinks the European Championship title match would suit me next, I will take it. This bout went well, let’s see in a week’s time”, said Helenius before heading for his native town of Porvoo with his family.

The possible European Championship bout would be a mere staging point in the Finnish boxer’s career. Helenius’s backers are already talking openly about a World Championship title fight, in an ideal situation possibly as early as next year.
“We are closer and closer to that goal. The victory over Levin was a great step in that direction”, summarised Helenius’s coach [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
Sauerland and Wegner sang praises in unison of the heavy straight right of Helenius, who currently resides in Berlin.
“He has got one of the best straight rights in the world. I have never seen anyone knock out [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with one punch the way Robert did”, Sauerland praised.
Helenius took out the former WBO World Champion in Germany in January.

Levin, too, experienced the weight of the Finn’s right arm. After a count of eight by the referee, Helenius quickly finished the job by landing a selection of punches on his Swedish opponent until the referee felt it was best to pull the plug.
“Levin attacked and this presented me with an opportunity. The quick straight right landed perfectly. I would not have thought that the bout would end so quickly.”
Another Finn, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], was also successful in defending his EU title.
The EU jr welterweight king’s bout against Spaniard [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ended unresolved, but this sufficed for the Finn to maintain his title.
Around 7,000 spectators had gathered to witness the boxing night in Helsinki.

It would be like in the 50´, 60´ties and 70´ties when European heavyweights dared to compete against each other. These days a loss to a fellow European seems to spoil the future of the defeated. Henry Cooper had better days ahead after getting KOéd by Thor´s Swedish Hammer. Bugner carreer did´nt end when Bodell outpointed him.
Helenius vs. Chisora is a great match-up. Both having a lot to prove. Chisora that he´s a worldclass contender and Helenius that he is a real KO-artist and not an amateurish no-hoper - the way foreign media described him after the Levin-fight.
I think both blokes are class-performers on the brink of a breaktru. The Klitschos getting older (either) Chisora or/and Helenius could be the one(s) to put an end to the Klistchos monopole.

I think it will come. Well, let's see how much better than Fury, can Helenius handle to Chicora

Still Helenius KO

Helenius UD! Probably dropping a few rounds along the way. Similar to how Fury beat him but not using as much energy and generally more in control than what the final scorecard may indicate.

Helenius by brutal and shockingly easy knockout.

Helenius should win but it would not shock me if Chisora was to win
