Seems like Amin Asikainen will face Poland´s Piotr Wilczewski for the European Super Middleweight title now that Magee has vacated it.
This is Asikainen´s 7th title bout and the very first for Wilczewski. Asikainen is 28 (KO 19) - 3 (KO 3) and Wilczewski 28 (KO 9) - 1 (KO 1). And if you give boxrec´s rating´s any value; Wilczewski is 19th in Europe and Asikainen 23th. Wilczewski hasn´t fought against any harder opponent´s and this will be his toughest fight so far. Finnish fan´s and media are favoring Asikainen and think that this will be a piece of cake for Amin. Any Wilk fans in here, is "Asikainen jest już past prime. To może być życiowa szansa dla Wilczewskiego i trzeba to wykorzystać."? How will the fight go, any thought´s ? |

Yeah, Leevi_p said this will be peace of cake for Amin but who else? But yep.. This is 50-50 match up in my opinion. Amin is a bigger puncher and has also more experience but Wilczewski is maybe the fresher guy of these two. And maybe better chin? I think Amin has everything to beat Wilczewski but I was thinking same when he fought against Gevor and Macklin Amin Asikainen [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kBhw7mwe2g[/ame] Piotr Wilczewski [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HakVd8s9rNM[/ame] |

If Asikainen defended his title at MW against Wilczewski back in 2006-2007, it would´ve been "easy". He would have beaten him comfy around 118-110, similar to Di Giacomo.
But this time, it´s once again all about Asikainen. Wilczewski is nothing special in terms of world class. But does Amin have enough left? Is he really glass jawed, or not? I think Amin will score UD victory, something like 116-112. In world title bout, he gets demolished to retirement. |
