Hearns v Leonard I
Hagler v Hearns
Ali v Frazier III
Foreman v Lyle
Holyfield v Qawi
Holyfield v Bowe - entire series... simply ****ing brutal and puts today's heavy's to shame.
Holyfield v Tyson I
Duran v Leonard I
Castillo v Corrales I - although the ending tarnishes it for me.
Dempsey v Willard
Tony Zale v Rocky Graziano III

Late 80's to Mid 90's Holyfield was insane.

Watched the Qawi & Bowe series numerous times.

Agreed with both comments lads. Simply one of the most exciting fighters in the sports history... and one of its best. At his peak, he matches up stylistically with many of the greats pretty favourably.

How can you not include my fav Holy scrap from 91 ( i normally watch it once a month ) in your list ?
another fav of mine is Hagler v John the beast Mugabi , it's strange what floats our boats but i get as much enjoyment watching the likes of these two as i do reviewing the likes of Gatti v Ward and Castillo v Corales ( RIP Chico ) BTW i don't want to tarnish the latter fight in anyway shape or form but does anyone else think Coaching on the apron is a DQ offence ?

Since everyone's naming multiple fights, my other notable fights that rated were -
  • Vasquez vs. Marquez I, II and III. (By the end of III, if your not buzzing, well you don't like boxing!)
  • Pac vs. JMM I
  • Morales vs. Barerra I
These fights more than get a repeat run in the Contendo household!

Hearns - Duran
Tyson - 'Buster' Douglas; I'm actually a big Tyson fan, but I like watching this fight because Douglas refused to intimidated by Tyson and took the fight to him! Awesome.
