Default Knockouts that have stayed in your mind

So many to think of. I'll name a few of them. Muhammad Ali sending George Foreman to the canvas,in the Kinshasa night. That slow, almost graceful, way that George goes down. Whenever i watch it,i can almost hear Swan Lake being played in the background. Foreman treating the unbeaten Frazier like a yo yo in Kingston town. I'll always hold that vision of Mike Tyson turning Berbick's legs into a rubberised cartoonish hybrid, when he won the WBC belt. And how about when Don Curry poleaxed Milton McCrory ? After Milton got up from the first knockdown,Curry stalked across the ring, almost like he was thinking to himself "right I'm going to land the last right hand like this..." and did so. Last one,for now,is The first Marciano-Walcott fight. Even though it took place three years before I was born,I've always been struck by that photo of Rocky landing the last punch. Jersey Joe's normally clean cut looks were turned into something that resembled The Thing out of The Fantastic 4. Just for that moment, thankfully for Walcott !!

Curry was spectacular that night against McCrory..for my money he could have reigned as champ for another decade almost...but he was on the receiving end of another spectacular ko that stays in my mind...vs Mike McCallum..that lone, beautiful, perfect left hook that Mike got him with. It was the first fight I ever recorded on the vcr..I watched that left hook finish over and over again. Another great ko was Carlos Monzon executing Nino Benvenuti with that right hand bomb in the 12th round in 1970....hail the new king!!!

For sheer pain, and sudden brutal finaliity, the right that Jose Napoles ended Ernie Lopez's evening with in their rematch stands out...of course Marciano's right hand bomb on JJW, and one of my favorites...Danny Lopez' sudden anesthesizing of Juan Malvarez in the 2nd of their title bout in the late 70's.

Weaver catching Tate in the 15th. Just devastating and it took a long time for Tate to get up.

Amazing...this sport of boxing..friends with the guy who nearly killed him...oh well, I actually feel that Leonard is a decent sort of guy...better have him as a friend than have him as an opponent. That was one beautiful...savagely beautiful knockout if I've ever seen one...another was the Leonard ko of poor Andy Price.

My all time favorite has always been Azumah Nelson vs Wilfredo Gomez. Not the flashiest or most brutal by any stretch but it has remained my favorite throughout the years.

The first KD around the 7:00 point and Azumah finnishes him shortly thereafter!

Azumah Nelson vs Cowdell has always been my favorite quick KO.....Nelson is my favorite non-Philly phighter so this may have something to do with it.

Fight starts at the 4:15 point and Nelson finnishes him at 6:25
