Could you put some highlights on youtube? I'd love to see more of Tonna.

Look forward to it. I haven't seen enough of Tonna to do a pick justice. (Basically only the Monzon fight). It's possible that Mugabi may try to come out really fast and impose himself on Tonna quickly...But anything could happen. It would be interesting to have an evaluation of Tonna/Valdez if you have that one...and how Tonna handled the power of Valdez. That might be somewhat of a barometer for this fight. But Valdez is much better overall than Mugabi. Mugabi would have had a considerable edge in speed, but Tonna looked like a very big middleweight.

I saw the Tonna-Valdez fight...Tonna basically just quit on Valdez in the 10th...he went down intentionally and stayed down for the count...hoping to get a dq win.

How was Tonna doing until the tenth round? Was he soaking up a beating? Was in danger of being stopped?

At mo time did he look like he was going to be stopped...which was pretty impressive in a way vs Valdez...but he was being beaten, and I think he had a preferred way to win vs Valdez..by dq.

The french have a bad habit of trying to win this way. Max Cohen quit at the first sign of trouble against both Mundine and Valdez and Bouttier, well, his performance against Griffith was disgusting.

Yeah Tonna didn't have a lot of heart, despite being durable he would rather try for the DQ once he started to realise he was going to lose and couldn't put his man away.Did it against Valdez and Monzon, quit against Minter in the rematch and more or less did a Tito/Mosley and phoned it in against Finnegan 2nd time around.

He was a tank of a fighter and a good dangerous early-mid rounds pure puncher though.A bit like a more mobile, harder to hit crafty Roldan.

Being Very trim of waist and Broad of shoulder Tonna certainly had the build of the ferocious puncher he could be, but did have fortitude problems if someone stood up to him and hit back, therefore i think i would have to favour the Mugabi who Gave Hagler a good go of it to be a bit too firey for Gretien,

I Always felt Gretien Tonna Vs Eugene Cyclone Hart would have been a nightmare to predict you never knew who would fold Mentally - before Folding Phyiscally, Still if excitement and bg punching unpredicabiliy were your medicine you never knew with Tonna - I still remember him Wiping out Big Punching Propect Jean Meto in a couple of Rounds.
