Default How does the odds for betting on boxing work?

currently the odds for oscar de la hoya to win is like -160 and for manny its +165, i know its in favor of manny but how does it work

Second...Oscar lost already. The odds of -160 favored him (you had to bet 160 to earn 100). Pacquiao at +165 was the underdog (you earned 165 for betting 100).
