Default Froch v. Braehmer if they fought for the WBC eliminator/title - who wins and why?

...in Spring 2008?

Easy KO for Froch

Wouldn't Braehmer use his reach to tag Froch all night? There is no indication that Braehmer has a less than very good chin - Froch would have to hit him flush...would Braehmer let him?

well, there have been idications.

velazco, a faded and not very hard hitting blown up middleweight had him down. and that was no flash knockdown! he almost knocked him out.

and in the rematch with light hitting mario veit, he got tagged by a right hand and his legs went. he stayed upright, but he was wobbled.

so froch winning by ko is not an unlikely scenario imo.

I didn't know all that about Braehmer...I guess in that case Froch is the big favourite in this one. I am sure Braehmer is the man Froch is targetting in a title fight. The WBC might put a spanner in his works by making them fight an eliminator, with Kessler being involved against someone else in the other eliminator. Alternatively, Kessler might get an immediate title shot at Mundine's WBA...still he might have to go through Inkin first...

I don't think Braehmer is such a big deal. He was a great talent but the years in jail certainly didn't help his career. He seems to have problems with discipline, stamina and he's just not there mentally. He'll get the opportunity to figth for a world title soon but I don't think he can be a serious force in the division.

I agree with that analysis. I don't have him in my Top 10.
