Regular fights.
For a fan like me, I'd go to every fight near me, but the prices are steap and there is hardly any fights on. We have a Lee McAllister fight the end of this month that i can't make. I have to make do with going to amateur fights. |

I just turned 20 on Sunday, so my earliest boxing memory is probably The Bite Fight.

The Old bells at Madison Square Garden.
Best-sounding bells I've heard, from the high pitched bell to the loud gong which would continue to sound for almost a minute after it was rung. Both of which can be heard here: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzzR_qgHohY&t=4m12s[/ame] |

In Oz it was called a "Shower" & I too lament it's slow passing. & the "I've come to fight" trunks as well (Ala Mike Tyson). These things they wear today were once called "Bombay bloomers" & you wouldn't wear them to the bathroom. Down here, beer is still at a managable price where most fights are conducted at Clubs. Upmarket shows have ringside "Tables". circular, & 10 seats each. The price ranges from about (Basic) $120 to $250 You get (basic) 3 course meal & free wine & beer. Top shelf is aimed at Corporate level with the same concessions but a bit more exclusive plus a number of VIP advantages. It's hardly nostalgic but it works well. |
