Default Tony Tubbs vs. Corrie Sanders

Who wins in their primes (Witherspoon fight vs. whatever the prime fight for Sanders was) and who wins when they were out-of-shape (Tyson fight vs. V. Klitschko fight)?

Corrie wins, even though Tony's brother Nate handed Sanders his first pro loss via KO. I think in the 2nd round.

Corrie Sanders was one of the few heavyweights who had the handspeed to match or exceed that of Tony Tubb's. His south paw style might have complicated things as well, and in fact, wasn't it a left hook from Tyson that KO'd Tubbs? I haven't seen the fight in years, so I don't remember. Anyway, I'll take Corrie by early KO, unless Tony can survive past the 7th, then I'll take Tony.

Oh yeah magoo, Peak Tyson timed Tubbs to the millisecond with a ultra-fast, perfect short left hook, after hurting him with stomach-churning strategic bombs to the body...

Therefore, a part-time boxer, "Grade C" journeyman with basic ability will do the same.

Tubbs absolutely schools the limited Sanders, boxing his head off each & every round, humiliating that golfer.

'91 Bowe was green, but vastly superior as a fighter & a puncher in every department to the crude Sanders, yet he didn't come close to stopping a past-prime Tubbs.

Tyson was a right handed fighter with a decent left hook.... Corrie sanders was a natural left hooker.

"Decent left hook"... It was Tyson's signature punch when he was with Rooney, before he got obssessed with his right which was slightly more powerful.

Tyson's left hook was a thousand times better than Sanders', in terms of speed, power, timing, accuracy...

The crude golfer.

It's pretty obvious, considering Tubbs actually had impressive boxing ability, & was a "Grade B" Contender.

Exactly, this would be easier than his fight with Bonecrusher, who's a better slugger than the massively overrated Sanders.

What do you think about magoo rating Sanders' left-hook above Tyson's?

Tyson's lefthook was his main weapon. Sanders was his 7 iron

Not bad for a "decent lefthook".

A southpaw straight left is completely different punch to a orthodox left hook and Sanders isn't stylistically comparable to Tyson in anyway.

I think Sanders does well enough in the first 2rounds before fading to be thoroughly outboxed and perhaps stopped late
