I think their punching power was of two different varieties. Witherspoon had a slower, heavier type of punch, whereas Sanders had fast precision. Both were effective, depending on the type of opponent they were fighting. I don't think there is any way to accurately gauge how hard either of them hit.

Yes Sanders was a faster snappier puncher, but I think Spoon was a much better fighter. Tubbs was pretty dam slick at his best, Sanders would have problems as Spoon did hitting him cleanly.
