How would you guys rate Ray Robinson's power versus....say a Rodrigo Valdez or Bennie Briscoe??? Punch for Punch....Ray's speed is superior, accuracy ditto....but power? P4P Robinson is rated the better banger.
But....head to head middleweight knockout capability?

He sure hits harder than Roldan.

SRR was a big hitter even at 160.

Thank you John Thomas;very obvious question:Why isn't Sugar Ray Robinson on this list.Check the record-and I still think his one punch kayo of Gene Fullmer is generally considered the best one punch kayo(or possibly Patterson's kayo of Johannson at heavyweight).

SRR himself admitted he didn't have that much raw power, and used skills and speed to score so many KO's.

Mickey Walker has to be mentioned.

Just look at his record vs fighters over 200 lbs.

I also thaught about him, especially his left hook, the best one probably at 160 lbs...

Julian Jackson or Thomas Hearns must be number 1.

Absolutely. Ray said he was always was able to 'out rhythm' another fighter.
Let me rephrase my question.....Considering Robinson's skill set; speed (hand/foot), combination punching, experience, accuracy, etc.
Would he be more capable of Kayoing an opponent than a Rodrigo Valdez or Bennie Briscoe, McClellan? Jackson?

Janitor. It's a real mystery why Walker wasn't selected to the Ring's 100 greatest punchers(?) (I don't get it)
